Founded by a group of young men and women whose motive was to end extreme poverty in Uganda, NYAWIO Organization; Act Now, End Poverty Later, a poverty alleviation charitable organization began as a small grassroots initiative aimed at addressing the pressing needs of the underprivileged communities in Western Uganda. NYAWIO's inception mainly focused on creating sustainable income generating opportunities, supporting small scale farmers and young entrepreneurs to improve their livelihoods.
Over the years, the organization has diversified its programs to address a wide range of issues critical to community well-being; addressing poverty from multiple angles including education, health care and social empowerment. Our education and skills training programs are designed to equip individuals with knowledge needed to secure employment and improve their social economic status.
Healthcare and wellness initiatives ensure access to essential medical services while economic empowerment programs support small scale businesses and young entrepreneurs. NYAWIO expanded its mission to encompass a holistic approach to community development extending its programs to districts of Kyenjojo, Kagadi, Ntoroko and Fort Portal Tourism City. We are committed to informing, educating and empowering the citizens of Uganda to overcome the problems of increasing poverty, abuse of human rights, unemployment and poor health.
